This school year marks a first for Viotta Jeugdorkesten: two of our younger orchestras, the Jeugdorkest and the Jeugdsinfonietta, will take part in an exchange with the Spanish Jove Orquestra Simfònica de l’Anoia-Aleví (JOSA).
In the second week of September, Viotta will welcome more than 60 young musicians from JOSA. The Spanish musicians will stay with host families of our orchestra members for several days.
On Sunday 13th of September, the exchange will come to a festive conclusion with a concert at the Nieuwe Badkapel. JOSA will lead this concert and together with the Jeugdorkest and the Jeugdsinfonietta they will present a very special programme: a musical story written by conductor Jaume Fraga i Llaveria, performed with a presenter and narrator!
In spring 2027, the Jeugdorkest and the Jeugdsinfonietta will visit JOSA for the second part of this exchange.
